Customer Requirement:

The customer contacted us with a requirement at Cendris for cooling their printing area where they produce documents such as the marketing and billing for the phone company T–Mobile along with other big names like HM Land Registry and Ford.

Without cooling down the production area the machines were not functioning correctly and the workers were far too hot. There were limited areas available so they needed maximum cooling without losing too much floor space.

Carrier Rental Systems Solution:

The requirements of the building were assessed and Carrier Rental Systems solution was to provide a Carrier Rental Systems 200 air cooled chiller outside with 4 x Carrier Rental Systems 50 fan coil units inside along the back wall. The benefit of this is that the FCU were placed with the return air grills next to the heat source (printing machines) and blowing cool air from the top across the room. After looking at possible positions for the chiller we moved the outside tables to a different location and placed the chiller there and ran flexible hoses into the building where we connected into our fan coil units. There wasn’t suitable power supply on-site so we supplied a generator to run the chiller along with fuel management to keep the generator full of fuel at all times.

• Benefits to Customer – The staff could comfortably produce documents without the equipment over heating.
• Outcome – Carrier Rental Systems offered a solution, implemented and had the system on-site within 48 hours of receiving an order.
